Wedding Flowers Competition: Leaderboard Update
Hasn’t this year’s competition been a boomer!?! Even the press have been getting hip to the “Rock Star Florist” vibe, with multiple media publications, like this one and this one, running stories on the competition and the florists involved – after a little nudge from the team here at Tesselaars!
Let’s recap the competition action so far.
Last week we announced the Top Gun 2015 category winners, 30 in total and now we are well into the final stage of public voting over at our Facebook page. There are 3 galleries:
And in each, the supportive, positive vibe is apparent even as the competitive voting hots up! It’s important to note that voting runs until this Thursday 26th November, so what follows are NOT the final winners announcements! There’s still time for things to change dramatically but having said that, let’s have a look at the state of play:

So far the Flowers To Wear gallery has been seen by an audience of just under 40,000 people. As of writing, the lead contender is Sydney’s Gentle Flowers (a winner last year) with Willeton Wedding Flowers (Perth) and Rosehip Flowers (Newcastle) holding steady at 2nd and 3rd respectively!
Next up, the Flowers to Decorate gallery, which has a view count of over 50,000 people at the time of writing. (By the way, we don’t put more focus or spend more advertising dollars on any particular gallery. Facebook’s algorithms decide what to show and to whom based on our targeting decisions but also depending on what is clicked/shared/liked the most.)
Leading the pack here we have a Queensland dominated field with The Bloom Collective (Brisbane) followed by That little flower shop (Buderim, QLD) and then Ginger Lily & Rose Floral Studio (Caloundra, QLD). Still, not much in it so get voting folks!
Lastly, the Flowers to Carry category has been the public’s favourite by some margin this year with a massive view count of just under 80,000 people at the time of writing. Heading up this all-class category competition is the big, red beauty entered by Angel Flowers of Perth, followed VERY closely by Touchwood Flowers of Port Macquarie, NSW, followed in turn by Dominique Flowers of Sydney.
BUT it is not over yet! Voting continues until 9am this Thursday, November 26th and it’s still anyone’s game – so spread the word and get voting!
