Two-and-a-bit weeks into our 2016 ‘RockStar Florists’ Competition and our inboxes are officially flooded with hundreds of jaw-droppingly gorgeous entries.
In each of the three categories, Flowers to Carry, Flowers to Wear and Flowers to Decorate, Australia’s most fashion-forward florists are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, creating simply stunning floral creations that have certainly set our hearts a-flutter!

Flowers To Carry
From bold native bridal bouquets packed with proteas and gum nuts, to bright and cheerful posies featuring dahlias, paper daisies, billy buttons, and sea holly, this years entries into the Flowers To Carry category have been widely varied and hugely impressive! Here are some of our faves from this week.

This gorgeous design from Chiara Reid of Chiara Anne Floral Couture is certainly on trend! Those huge pink proteas are perfectly off-set by the gum nuts, gum leaves, and burgundy foliage, creating a simply stunning effect.
This entry from Laura Mills (of Little Ivy in Dapto, NSW) combines roses, stocks, anemones, and a feature pink ice protea to achieve a bold statement bouquet for a lace-loving bride.
This dramatic, free-flowing bouquet created by Donna Hicks of Dear Delilah, with its many red hues and lovely red ribbon ties in exactly with the bride’s deep red lipstick and the style of her headpiece. Devine!
This lovely garden posy with perfectly proportioned feature dahlia is a beautiful creation with a soft pastel pink and green palette that would be perfect for an autumn or winter wedding.
And this bright and cheerful bouquet is the outgoing, modern bride’s ideal wedding day accessory. Amazing!
Flowers To Wear
The popular Flowers To Wear category has shown the most diversity this year, with entries ranging from uniquely wonderful feather and lace headpieces, through the more traditional floral crowns arranged to perfection, all the way to full floral bodysuits! Feast your eyes on these amazing creations, that really speak for themselves!
Flowers To Decorate
In our Flowers To Decorate category, potential RockStar Florists have entered awe-inspiring floral creations ranging from simple and elegant table centrepieces, to hanging installations that cover the entire ceiling! Have a look at these arrangements to amaze!
This elegant table centre from Kym Wilson of Posy Blossom features succulents and leucadendrons, and matches in perfectly with the food platters to create a stunning morning after brunch for wedding or event guests. Yum!
So many fresh blooms! So much colour! This gorgeous bridal arch by Jacqueline Griffiths from Two Hearts Club would be any bride’s dream!
Pretty as a picture! This divine bridal arch created by Jess Mauger is the perfect accompaniment to this gorgeous bride’s bouquet, floral headpiece, and lace gown. The ultimate in modern elegance.
This lush foliage installation from Kate Dawes frames the bridal couple’s nuptials to perfection.
And this hanging installation from Melissa Thompson of Red Earth Flowers blends fresh blooms and fairy lights in the most visually stunning way. Beautiful work.
