Aaannnnnnd – that’s a wrap! The closing date for entries into the annual Tesselaars Top Gun Competition 2015 passed by over the weekend, and as the final few (hundred!) stunning entries rolled in, I was inspired to write about some of my favourites.
Just like the judging process it is certainly hard to pick out the best ones to highlight, but here are my 9 final featured entries in each of the categories Flowers to Carry, Flowers to Wear and Flowers to Decorate. (Continues below…)
Stunning Bridal Bouquets
There are some florists every year who just knock it out of the ballpark, and it’s no surprise they are past competition winners and finalists. One of those florists is Green and Bloom in Queensland. Just look at these amazing bouquets entered in the Flowers to Carry category this year. These magnificent designs truly speak for themselves.
Wedding Flowers For Brides & Their Maids
Another past competition finalist, Merci Bouquet in New South Wales, shows us again this year their high standard of floral design and execution excellence – and how gorgeous a bridal party can look standing all together in a row!
I am absolutely loving this bold entry from Floweresque, with the bridesmaid’s red and black dresses next to their bride’s white gown, and the rich red, cherry, green, white and black tones throughout all the gorgeous florals bringing the whole look together.

Here is another divine example of how you can play with the colours of the bridesmaid’s dresses and let the gorgeous hues and colour palette of the bouquet blooms complete the overall look. This entry is from The Little Flowerstall in Queensland.
Table Centres to Match the Bridal Bouquet
Willow Lane Creative from Western Australia wowed me with these bright and bold florals, perfectly accented with gold decor in the Flowers to Decorate category, and I am loving the matching bouquet design of poppies, queen annes lace, ranuculus, roses, carnations and amaranths entered in the Flowers to Carry category. The unexpected royal blue ribbon adds a lovely finishing touch!
Wedding Flowers to Amaze & Inspire
And now for the finale! And what better way to finish then these incredible designs by Wedding Flowers By Julia Rose, Queensland. Here is a colourful setting for the Flowers to Decorate category that really brings the outside in!
Julia Rose is more than just a florist, she is truly a floral designer and an artist. Her wearable floral creations are captivating. This amazing piece has been created using blue gum and wattle foliage and an array of hot pink, orange and yellow blooms. Quite worthy of the Flowers to Wear category!
With so many gobsmackingly gorgeous floral designs entered this year, it’s anyone’s guess who will take out the flower crown in each category of Tesselaars Annual 2015 Top Gun Wedding Competition! Only time will tell so stay tuned to find out who the 30 finalists are – announcement coming your way Monday 9th November!
