Hippeastrum

Long, slender stems adorn not one but two blooms of exquisite beauty!  Hippeastrums, hippies to most of us, are becoming quite the regular here in Brisbane and are proving to be quite popular.  Best not to put in foam arrangements but straight into vase water.  The artiste within will certainly appreciate these.

David Austin Roses

Coming in various shades and tones David Austin Roses are one of the most popular flowers for weddings and we can see why!  Being a garden variety rose they need lots of tender love and care, saying that they won’t last as long as a standard rose however they are incredibly beautiful.

Phalaenopsis Orchid

Another wedding favourite, the elegance of the Phalaenopsis Orchid is one on its own.  Something about this flower never goes out of style with its timeless beauty.  They should never be kept in the cold room as they prefer more of a room temperature than anything to be kept in pristine condition.  If wiring your orchids for your wedding bouquets make sure to use a water source on each individual bloom, otherwise be prepared for a not so happy flower.

Mini Gerberas

Don’t you just love the colour of this one?  Mini Gerberas aren’t everybody’s favourite but you cannot surpass some of the colour tones.  Keeping Gerberas well cut and in only a couple inches of water should be enough to keep these happy little guys… happy 🙂

Tetragona Nuts

Who doesn’t love a good native arrangement?  And with Tetragona Nuts they can add that element of difference to your designs.  They are a very long lasting nut so keeping them cut every few days should do the trick.
