The creative variety inherent in these wedding centerpieces is quite remarkable and a wonderful testament to the skills and artistic talents of the Australian florists who made these pieces for their happy brides. Some of the centrepieces feature unusual and interesting items such as over-sized wine glasses (see the work by Bianca Stace from Floral Finesse from The Whitsundays area) and tall, grand crystal glasswork.

These statements contrast excitingly with some of the more petite, natural arrangements with that hard-to-achieve “just thrown together” look like the work by Jessica from Sassafrass Flower Design above.

What makes a great wedding centerpiece? Firstly, they must be tailored to suit the look of the entire wedding party and reception, they must work with all of the other design elements to help tell the story of the bride and groom’s love and their hopes and dreams for the future. Secondly, practicality must be kept in mind as the tables can get pretty crowded and things can get rowdy if your wedding reception goes off with a bang!
