2011 wedding flowers competition

Our first Wedding Flowers Competition in 2011 proved that there is an incredible array of quality florists in Australia producing wonderful, stylish wedding flowers in so many different styles.

2011 Wedding Flowers Competition

Despite the economic struggles of the past couple of years leading up to the first wedding flowers competition in early 2011, Australians had still been busy getting married and as a result, Australian florists had plenty of wedding flower pictures that they were willing to show off to the world in order to promote their businesses and for a chance to win a sweet camera or some free flowers.

Tesselaar's Choice

The best flower arrangement as judged by qualified Tesselaar in-house florists (best flower arrangement not best photography).

The standard of the entries was so high that our in-house staff had a lot trouble coming to a consensus as to who should be our winner. Passionate - even heated - discussions abounded and the decision had to be delayed for a week! But we eventually got there!

... And The Winner Is...

Photo No. 95 by Kate Dawes of Kate Dawes Flower Design, South Bank, Brisbane.

Congratulations Kate! Your arrangement (pictured above)  came up trumps - elegant, contemporary, daring and bold. The bouquet is pure and fresh with a charming, natural colour palate!
